Fireworks Night with the Las Vegas 51s

Cheer on the Las Vegas 51s as they take on the Sacramento River Cats. $10 tickets are available for purchase by contacting Abby Quinn at 702.836.2130 or firstname.lastname@example.org. $3 from every ticket sold will be donated to HELP of Southern Nevada. Ticket holders are invited to stay after the game for a special fireworks show and the chance to win great prizes through HELP of Southern Nevada’s tennis ball toss.

HELP of Southern Nevada teams up with Las Vegas area Whole Foods Market locations for “HELP2O” bottled water campaign. Protecting homeless residents from the dangers associated with the summer heat, Southern Nevadans can donate bottled water by visiting Whole Food Market Tenaya (7250 W. Lake Mead Blvd.), Town Square (6689 Las Vegas Blvd.), Henderson (100 S. Green Valley Parkway) and Fort Apache (8855 W. Charleston Blvd.).
All four locations will serve as collection points for HELP of Southern Nevada. Bottled water donations can be purchased in-store and donated or purchased elsewhere and dropped off. The water will be collected on a regular basis and distributed to area homeless.
Additionally, those looking to make a monetary donation will be able to do so by tossing their change into branded HELP of Southern Nevada change jars at all four of Whole Foods Markets’ Las Vegas area locations or by submitting a donation through the nonprofit’s website at www.helpsonv.org.

20th Annual Golfers’ Roundup
Tuesday, June 24, 7:30 a.m. registration / 8:30 a.m. start
Cascata, Boulder City
Every year, HELP of Southern Nevada supporters rally together to compete in Golfers’ Roundup, a competitive golf tournament and luncheon benefitting HELP of Southern Nevada. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Individual tickets for the tournament are $350 per person or $1,400 for a group of four. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

$10 on the 10th Donor Program
Become a recurring donor with HELP of Southern Nevada’s $10 on the 10th, a program that encourages Southern Nevada residents to help make a difference in their community by donating $10 on the 10th of every month. Proceeds will go towards various HELP of Southern Nevada programs.
Those wishing to sign up can visit www.helpsonv.org and click the “Get Involved” page to scroll down and donate, labeling "$10 on the 10th" in the description.
HELP of Southern Nevada is currently accepting applications from low-income households owned by seniors, physically challenged, or homes with children for the Weatherization program. Weatherizing between 500 and 700 homes each year, the nonprofit offers various services including weather stripping, blowing insulation, repairing broken windows, testing of gas appliances, heating and air conditioning evaluations, refrigerator efficiency checks and installation of solar screens and other energy saving devices.
Those interested in applying are encouraged to attend an application assistance workshop, which are held every Tuesday between 10 a.m. and noon at HELP of Southern Nevada (1640 E. Flamingo Road).
