Roseman University hosts Nursing Discovery Days throughout Southern California

Roseman University will host Nursing Discovery Days on May 6, 7 and 8 in Long Beach, Riverside and San Diego, respectively.

Geared towards prospective nursing students living in California, the event shows interested individuals how Roseman University’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program provides the opportunity to earn a degree in 15 months through an established and accredited program.

Those attending will have the chance to learn more about the ABSN program or meet one-on-one with admissions advisors to map out individual plans for entering the program. Prospective students interested in speaking with an advisor about prerequisite requirements, transfer credits or other program admissions details are asked to bring unofficial copies of their transcripts to review at the event.

Nursing Discovery Days will be held on: May 6 in Long Beach at the Courtyard by Marriott Cypress Anaheim/Orange County, 5865 Katella Ave; May 7 in Riverside at the Courtyard by Marriott Riverside, 1510 University Ave; and May 8 in San Diego at 9610 Granite Ridge Drive, Suite A.  Information sessions at each event will be held at noon, 3 and 6 p.m. to allow attendees to visit when convenient. Those interested in attending should register at www.RosemanNursing.com.

With the growing demand for nurses, California universities have seen an increase in nursing students forced to defer their career plans due to being wait-listed or put into a lottery system. The Roseman University ABSN program offers prospective nursing students the opportunity to avoid waitlists and leverage their past college experience into a nursing career in just 15 months.

The program, located in Henderson, NV, still has available start dates in 2014. The curriculum allows students to engage with faculty and peers in a virtual classroom setting while simultaneously gaining on-site clinical experience at healthcare facilities in Southern Nevada. Upon completion, Roseman University ABSN graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX exam and earn a nursing license in their chosen state of practice. The ABSN program boasts a first-time NCLEX pass rate of 98.8 percent among its graduates.
