Glenwood Springs is the place to be if you like outdoor summer music concerts with knock-your-socks-off views. Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park which was voted the Local’s Choice for Best Place to View a Sunset and Best Music Venue hosts performances Fridays and Saturdays throughout the summer months.
Friday Afternoon Club (FAC). Launched just recently, FAC features live music and food and drink specials from 5 – 9 p.m. every Friday through August 8. Be sure to pick up or print a coupon from the Friday Edition of the Glenwood Springs Post Independent for a free tram ride to the top of Iron Mountain. One coupon is good for up to four people. Present coupons beginning at 5:00 p.m. The last tram up the mountain is at 8:30 p.m. To see who’s playing, visit the Park’s website. What better way to kick off the weekend and relax with friends.
Music on the Mountain. Also at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, this event helps stock the shelves of the local non-profit Lift-Up. For a free tram ride up the mountain bring a canned food item for the community pantry. Music on the Mountain picks up where FAC leaves off, the Saturday concerts begin August 9 and continue through September 20. Can-for-a-tram rides start at 4 p.m., with concerts kicking off at 6 p.m. and finishing at 10 p.m. (except Sunday, Sept.7, show is 4 to 8 p.m.). Check out the upcoming lineup
