Lander, WY - Lander is receiving the distinction of being in the top seven "Trail Towns" by TrailRunner Magazine. Each year, TrailRunner experts search for towns and cities around the US that make solid trail-running vacation destinations, both for their metropolitan offerings and their access to singletrack. In addition to Lander, Wyoming the "Trail Towns" they chose "that are gateways to serious wildlands" include Conway, New Hampshire; Hot Springs, Arkansas; Los Angeles, California; Ouray, Colorado; Silver City, New Mexico; and Whitefish, Montana.Meghan M. Hicks of TrailRunner Magazine writes, “We’re not talking about quaint urban retreats or little trail networks. We’re talking granddaddy landscapes, thousands of acres of preserved lands and hundreds of miles of trails, the biggest playgrounds our country has to offer.”
