Actress PAMELA HEFFLER Exposes a Tragic Memory in New Hospital Drama “THE SHIFT”

LOS ANGELES (February 12, 2015) – Actress PAMELA HEFFLER reveals a mother’s worst nightmare in the tense hospital drama, THE SHIFT, releasing on DVD/VOD on February 24, 2015.

THE SHIFT chronicles one 12 hour night shift in the E.R., when a jaded nurse Kayle (Leonel Oliva), struggles to train an idealistic new grad (Casey Fitzgerald), as they care for a suffering little girl asking for peace. Heffler joins in the tale as Esther, the mother to Kayle, as he is forced to deal with the haunting flashback memories of his younger brother’s drowning.

The project comes from established indie director Lee Cipolla (Know Thy Enemy, Harder They Fall) and also stars veteran actor Danny Glover. Heffler was thrilled to work on a film with such a complex storyline, adding "The creative process from audition to filming was an extraordinary collaborative experience as an artist and actress. Everyone was a joy to work with.”

Up next, Heffler gets caught up in a deadly situation when she guest stars on the season finale episode of Discovery ID’s popular docu-drama, DEADLY SINS. The reenactment series examines the true evils that push people beyond the limits of the law and reveals crimes driven by the most basic of human instincts.

Previously, Heffler has been showcasing her talents with appearances in numerous film and television projects. Most notably, her credits include a stint alongside Brooke Lyons and Ava Gaudet in NBC’s comedy series “Love Bites,” the lead in the dramatic indie feature “Tringled,” an appearance in the Dee Wallace starrer “BeautySleep Symphony,” and an episode of the comedy web series “Vegan 101.”

A Potomac, Maryland native, Heffler became involved in the arts from a young age, developing her singing and dancing abilities. She went on to graduate from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst and spent many years as a professional dancer, which paved her way to transition into the acting arena. She is currently in-development on her own project, a short film to inspire kids to be self-expressive through dance.

Pamela Heffler is represented by Almond Talent Agency.
