Outdoor Research hires Chris Clark as North American Sales Director

Clark brings 20 years of sales, marketing, retail experience to post.

SEATTLE, Wash. (April 16, 2015) – Outdoor Research, the Seattle-based manufacturer of technical outdoor apparel and accessories, this month hired outdoor industry veteran Chris Clark as Director of Sales in North America.

Working with the Outdoor Research sales team, Clark will oversee and coordinate sales efforts in all of OR’s North American regional territories and work closely with key accounts in different parts of the country. He will report to VP of Sales Dave Mahoney.

“Chris brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the outdoor industry on all sides of the business, a path that has taken him from retail to servicing to marketing to product development and, of course, sales,” Mahoney said. “Beyond his experience, Chris will also be a perfect cultural fit at Outdoor Research, thanks to an overwhelmingly positive attitude and passion for all things outdoor.”

Clark brings 20 years of outdoor experience to his new post, including sales and marketing experience with Black Diamond, SCARPA, Backcountry Access and Cascade Designs, as well as retail experience at Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder, CO. An avid backcountry skier and mountain biker, Chris is a graduate of the University of Colorado.
