NORWICH, CT (June 7, 2016) – Miranda Creative, Inc., an award-winning brand management agency with locations in Norwich and New London, CT, has been named a winner in various web and graphic design awards this spring. The agency’s wins include: two 2016 American Web Design Awards, a Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) Compass Award of Merit, and a New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo) Award for Excellence.
2016 American Web Design Awards
Miranda Creative was named a winner in the 2016 American Web Design Awards for their work on websites for Longdale Farm and Maple Lane Farms 2.
Longdale Farm, a small, family-owned and operated farm located in South Charleston, Ohio, produces all natural beef that is better tasting, better for you, better for the environment, and better for the cattle. The creative vision for the web design incorporated an animated version of the logo, designed by Miranda Creative graphic designer Carissa Decelles, food photography from Connecticut Food and Farm publisher Winter Caplanson (prepared by Chef John Hudak of Cafémantic), and content from the client. Designed by Miranda Creative brand manager Kayla Hedman, the website was brought to life by web developer Sarah Larson.
Maple Lane Farms 2 grows produce without pesticides or fungicides and uses only non-GMO seeds through a hydroponic system. Their products are harvested as living plants, enabling their customers to buy produce that is dirt and grit free and stays fresh over a period of time that is without parallel in the industry. Website was designed and sprouted by web developer Sarah Larson.
TMSA Compass Award
Miranda Creative received an Award of Merit in the 2016 Transportation Marketing and Sales Association (TMSA) Compass Awards program for Burris Logistics’ “Game Changer” advertising campaign, designed by Susan DiCocco.
This multiple ad campaign integrated a play board with words like, “Transportation,” “Warehousing,” and “Procurement,” three of the unique selling propositions that reflect the full spectrum of services Burris provides. The ad campaign’s main question was, “Do you have the winning strategy for efficiently executing fresh?” The answer was to bring Burris Logistics on as an innovative, experienced partner.

NESHCo Award for Excellence
Miranda Creative was awarded a New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo) Award for Excellence for Lawrence and Memorial Hospital’s Well Healed Woman micro-website, wellhealedwoman.org.
L+M Hospital's Well Healed Woman website, designed by web developer Sarah Larson, contains information about the annual Well Healed Woman Conference, which is a day filled with education, great food and motivation speakers. This year, over 450 women attended. At other times, the website offers education information such as healthy recipes and medical tips.
