PHOENIX – (July 31 2014) – Take Charge America, Inc., a national nonprofit financial education and counseling agency based in Phoenix, announced today Jody Davis has been appointed to the board of directors. Davis, who serves as a private mortgage banker for BMO Private Bank, will serve a one-year term.
As a member of the board, Davis helps oversee Take Charge America’s business strategy and operations. The nonprofit provides a range of financial education services including credit counseling, housing counseling, debt management, student loan counseling and bankruptcy counseling.
“Jody has extensive experience with banking and mortgage issues, which will be extremely valuable as we position and promote our housing counseling services throughout Arizona,” said Take Charge America Chief Executive Officer David Richardson. “He has a great interest and passion in helping people from all backgrounds achieve financial independence, and we’re excited to have his enthusiasm and experience on the board.”
Davis has worked in the lending and banking industries for more than 25 years. He joined BMO Private Bank in 2011 as a private mortgage banker. He is a long-time member of the Arizona Association of Mortgage Professionals, where he previously served as a board member and president. Davis has also contributed his time and expertise to advisory committees for local consumer groups and the Better Business Bureau.
