Lakeside Foundation Launches Online Campaign to Raise $50K in 50 Days to “Build Our Bleachers!”
Help Lakeside High School to Finish This Dream!
Lakeside High School is enjoying a new county-funded classroom and track and field, but public funds can't do everything. So, the Lakeside High School Foundation has created an online URUUT campaign (https://www.uruut.com/projects/638) to encourage members of the community to raise funds to add a 1,000 seat set of bleachers overlooking the track and field.
The new bleachers will create an opportunity for friends, families and fans come and watch soccer games, lacrosse matches, track and field events, homecoming activities, marching band practices and other community activities.
The goal is to raise $50,000 in 50 days (by January 30, 2015) in recognition of the high school’s 50th anniversary.
About the Lakeside Foundation
The Lakeside Foundation is a non-profit organization working to help Lakeside High School reach its potential. The Foundation has worked hard over many years to enhance the Lakeside campus, but there are currently no bleachers to sit and watch the events, resulting in a less than maximum track usage.
- The Foundation’s primary purpose is to make improvements to the school to enhance the educational experience for our students.
- It offers scholarships to recognize outstanding students and funds requests from various clubs, sports teams, band, drama programs and teachers.
- The Foundation is comprised of 13 parents of current, past and future students.
100 percent of all donations go to the improvement of Lakeside High School. Not only does this help the student body, it improves local home values!
