Students from the Physician Assistant program at Concordia University Wisconsin edged out teams from four other PA schools in the state to win the recent Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistant Challenge Bowl.
The Challenge Bowl, which was held April 14 in the Wisconsin Dells, asked team members to demonstrate their academic prowess by answering questions related to their field of study.
Two teams of three from Concordia competed against approximately 25 other students from Marquette University, Carroll University, University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
This is the third year Concordia students have competed in the event and the first time a home team has taken home top honors.
“I am really proud of the students,” said Dr. Michelle Heinan, director of the CUW PA program. “They are a great representation of Concordia University and the program. It shows them how far they have come since entering the program.”
Students on the winning Challenge Bowl team were Morgan Millies, Megan Marcou and Michael Knuuti.
