South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa Restaurants Get into the Holiday Spirit with Festive Gourmet Meals for Christmas

LAS VEGAS – South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa celebrates the holidays with specialty menus on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25 at the property’s most popular restaurants including Baja Miguel’s, Coronado Café, Don Vito’s, Garden Buffet, Primarily Prime Rib and Silverado Steakhouse. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional dishes and gourmet alternatives while celebrating the holiday season with friends and family.

Baja Miguel’s will serve a three-course menu and a complimentary house margarita or glass of wine for $16.95 per person from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., including:

·         Appetizers: Salad Fiesta, chopped romaine with corn, tomatoes, black olives, grated cheese and tortilla strips with salsa ranch dressing; or Chicken Tortilla Soup.

·         Entrées: Herb Roasted Young Turkey with giblet gravy, apple and chestnut dressing, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, maple glazed yams, green beans and cranberry relish; or Carne Asada Baja Miguel’s, marinated skirt steak broiled, topped with chipotle mushrooms and butter sauce served with chilaquiles and tri-colored beans.

·         Desserts: Christmas Yule Log with peppermint ice cream; or Warm Mince Pie with whipped cream.

Coronado Café will serve a three-course menu and a complimentary cocktail or glass of wine for $14.95 per person from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., including:

·         Appetizers: Christmas Salad, iceberg and green leaf lettuce, red and yellow teardrop tomatoes with champagne vinaigrette; or Cream of Chicken and Corn Soup.

·         Entrées: Herb Roasted Young Turkey with giblet gravy, apple and chestnut dressing, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, maple glazed yams, green beans and cranberry relish; or Roast Sirloin of Beef topped with Au Jus and creamed horseradish sauce with baked or Yukon Gold mashed potatoes with green beans.

·         Desserts: Christmas Yule Log with peppermint ice cream; or Warm Mince Pie with whipped cream.

Don Vito’s will serve a three-course menu and a complimentary cocktail or glass of wine for $35 per person from 4 to 9 p.m., including:

·         Appetizers: Lamb Meatballs with braised kale and tomato sauce; Chilled Asparagus Napoli served with caper vinaigrette with shaved parmesan cheese; or Red Beet Tomato Soup with cheese crouton.

·         Entrées: Herb Roasted Young Turkey with giblet gravy, apple and chestnut dressing, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, maple glazed yams, green beans and cranberry relish; Broiled Pollack topped with heirloom tomato bruschetta, chive and caper reduction; or Rib Eye Beefsteak served with caramelized onion and blue cheese.

·         Desserts: Lemon Tart with lemoncello cream; Warm Mince Pie with rum and raisin ice cream; or White Chocolate Tartufo with raspberry sauce. 

Primarily Prime Rib will serve a three-course menu and a complimentary cocktail or glass of wine for $29 per person from 4 to 10 p.m., including:

·         Appetizers: Warm Artichoke and Crab Dip with lavash; Thai Shrimp Salad on rye crostini; or Christmas Salad, lollorossa and green leaf lettuce, red and yellow teardrop tomatoes with champagne vinaigrette.

·         Entrées: Herb Roasted Young Turkey with giblet gravy, apple and chestnut dressing, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, maple glazed yams, green beans and cranberry relish; Roasted Prime Rib of Beef dry aged and slowly cooked for full flavor; Pan Roasted Red Snapper topped with Asian cucumber and carrot salad with wasabi cream; Chicken Noel, sautéed breast with button mushrooms, diced tomato and fava beans in burgundy thyme sauce; or Sirloin Steak Bearnaise, New York steak pan grilled on sautéed spinach with béarnaise. All entrees are served with the choice of Chateau or Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and green beans.

·         Desserts: Warm Gingerbread Cake with crème anglaise; Chocolate Yule Log with crème de menthe cream; or Eggnog Mousse with Raspberries. 

Silverado Steakhouse will serve a four-course menu and a complimentary cocktail or glass of wine for $49 per person from 5 to 10 p.m., including:

·         Appetizers: Mini Beef Wellingtons with Cumberland sauce; Shrimp Cocktail; or Smoked Salmon and Trout Mousse Roulade, creamed smoked trout mousse rolled in smoked salmon on crisp crostini.

·         Soup and Salad: Crab and Corn Bisque with brandy and crème friache; or Christmas Salad, lollorossa and green leaf lettuce, red and yellow grape tomatoes, hearts of palm with champagne vinaigrette.  

·         Entrées: Herb Roasted Young Turkey with giblet gravy, apple and chestnut dressing, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, maple glazed yams, green beans and cranberry relish; Pan Roasted Chicken Breast on baby spinach with chicken jus, wild mushroom ravioli and toasted pine nuts; or Pistachio Crushed Salmon with green beans, almond rice pilaf and whole grain mustard cream.

·         Desserts: Warm Mince Pie with rum and raisin ice cream; or Chocolate Yule Log with whipped cream. 

Additionally, the Garden Buffet will serve a Christmas and Christmas Eve Wine and Dine Buffet for $17.95 with a Club Card or $20.95 without a Club Card from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests will receive two complimentary glasses of house wine with the buffet feast. The holiday buffet offers an assortment of a la carte options including Fresh Spinach Salad, Ambrosia Salad, Chicken Bruschetta, House Smoked Salmon, Bourbon Glazed Sliced Ham, Red Wine Braised Short Ribs of Beef and more. Guests can satisfy the sweet tooth craving with desserts such as Hot Peach and Cranberry Bread Pudding, Warm Mince Pie and Egg Nog Cup Cakes. In addition, guest will enjoy an assortment of soups, salads, fresh fruits and six live international cooking stations. 

Regular menus will also be available at Baja Miguel’s, Coronado Café, Don Vito’s, Primarily Prime Rib and Silverado Steakhouse on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25.
