(Powell, WY) - Gestalt Studios at the Polar Plant, located at 440 W. Park St. in Powell, will host a unique, community event on May 21 and May 22. The USS JoB Event and Live Auction brings local contractors out to show off their talents. Over the course of two days, each team will design and build utilitarian objects - a bench, a bar, a wheelbarrow, a playhouse, to name a few. These hand-crafted items will hit the auction block at 7 pm on Sunday, May 22. Two days of food, music, creative and competitive juices and community spirit will fill the barren corner lot near Blair's Market and Parkside Elementary School.
Erin and Dave Johnson, owners of Gestalt Studios, purchased the empty lot to the east of the Polar Plant in January. It is destined to be a green space, raised bed garden, performance area and a space for creative endeavors and relaxation. Erin and Dave imagine a space that invites the public in and offers inspiration for healthy progress in our community. This is a free event for the community. Donations are graciously accepted. Call Erin at 307.764.2389.
