New spring dishes add to Affäre’s lunch menu to launch May 19

Executive Chef Martin Heuser adds 7 new, custom dishes to his lunch menu for the spring season; $10 lunch menu continues

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 19, 2015) – Following Affäre’s introduction of new spring cocktails in late April, Owner and Executive Chef Martin Heuser announces new, spring lunch dishes to launch May 19.

The six new regular lunch items feature fresh, locally-sourced vegetables and lighter fares to pair with the warmer spring weather. Adding to the seven popular $10 business lunch offerings, Executive Chef Martin also introduces a new housemade sausage burger.

All new lunch items will be available Tuesday – Friday, starting on May 19. New lunch dishes include:

Prairie Birthday Farms Garden Greens – $8

Herb vinaigrette, cabbage, cucumber, beets, carrot-raisin salad 

Gem Lettuce – $9

Asparagus-strawberry salad, orange-green peppercorn vinaigrette 

Tempura Shrimp – $14

Spicy aioli, housemade salmon confit, housemade flatbread 

Grilled Chicken Breast – $14

Barham Family Farm chicken, vine tomato, Swiss cheese, amaretto reduction, broccolini amandine 

Affäre Quiche – $16

Asparagus, morels, cheese, crème fraiche, ramp aioli, Prairie Birthday Farms artisan greens

Maple Glazed Wild Salmon – $16

Smoked octopus risotto, pickled ramp bulbs
