AIRCRAFT DEMOLITION EXPANDS MOBILE SERVICES WORLDWIDE
Company to Complete End-of-Service Project in Haiti
BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA (April 15, 2015) – Aircraft Demolition, LLC, is expanding its worldwide mobile services to include recent projects in Europe and South America. The company, headquartered in North America, is becoming the go-to solution for global end-of-service solutions in the aviation and aerospace sector.
Recently, Aircraft Demolition formalized a contract to retrieve an aircraft in Haiti that underwent a hard landing. This Metroliner will be recycled according to the dual accreditation best practices of the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA). Tim Zemanovic, Aircraft Demolition CEO, serves on the Board of Directors and helps manage fleet recycling standards worldwide. Aircraft Demolition is one of the few companies worldwide to be held to such rigorous standards in aircraft end-of-service management.
In addition, the team of FAA licensed Airframe and Powerplant Technicians recently finished a part-out of a Boeing 737-300 in Moses Lake, WA. More than 250 items were removed, not including engines and APU. Those units will be sold on the used aircraft parts market to complete the sustainability of the aircraft recycle.
“Our expert crew completed the project in less than 14 days, including the recycling of the airframe,” said Tim Zemanovic, Chief Executive Officer of Aircraft Demolition, LLC. “By the time our crew is done, you can’t see a trace of the original aircraft on the field. Our work becomes the safest, most economical vanishing act for these retired aircraft.”
As part of its worldwide mobile solutions, the Aircraft Demolition team completed a part-out and recycle of a McDonnell Douglass MD11 in Ostend, Belgium in late 2014. This contract completed more than 100 end-of-service projects for the company. Other services include disassembly, part-out, recycling, demolition, storage and parking and obsolete inventory management.
