Donated funds will be used to support annual Kansas City Charlie Parker Celebration
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (June 16, 2016) – Yesterday, representatives from 39Rainbow and LANE4 Property Group presented Kansas City Jazz ALIVE with nearly $5,500 as a result of its April campaign supporting jazz in Kansas City during National Jazz Appreciation Month.
39Rainbow launched its efforts to better the Kansas City community by pledging a portion of its restaurant sales between April 1 – 30 to local organization Kansas City Jazz ALIVE. 39Rainbow chose to highlight the importance of jazz in the community because of its rich historical roots in Kansas City. The donated funds will be used to help Kansas City Jazz ALIVE’s annual Charlie Parker Celebration in August, the largest national event for the jazz legend.
The campaign included live jazz performances at 39Rainbow each Saturday in April, located at the corner of 39th Street and Rainbow Boulevard. Each weekend performance featured well-known names in Kansas City’s jazz scene, including the Midnight Blue Jazz Quartet featuring Greg Carroll, the Hermon Mehari Quartet, Sons of Brasil with Stan Kessler and a finale performance from the Elder Statesmen of Kansas City Jazz Quartet.
39Rainbow will continue its commitment to giving back through its recently announced Summer of Giving campaign, kicking off this month by donating a portion of its June sales to KC Pet Project for National Pet Adoption Month. 39Rainbow also partnered with local organization Warriors’ Ascent during May, National Military Appreciation Month, to help bring healing and support to veterans and first responders in the Kansas City community who are suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress. 39Rainbow restaurants include Subway, IHOP, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Topp’d Pizza + Salads and a highly anticipated July opening of Wyandotte County’s first Pita Pit.
39Rainbow is a mixed-use project owned and managed by LANE4 Property Group, strategically located at the southwest corner of 39th Street and Rainbow Blvd. across from one of the region’s fastest growing medical campuses, The University of Kansas Hospital and Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
