Zydeco Design sponsoring Excelsior Apple Day Pie Eating Contests

Minneapolis, MN - For the third year in a row, Zydeco Design will be sponsoring the Excelsior Apple Day Pie Eating Contest at Excelsior's 80th annual Apple Day celebration.

"The Pie Eating Contest has become an exciting tradition at Excelsior's Apple Day," said Nathalie Wilson, President of Zydeco Design. "We thank Kowalski's Market for supplying pies. To add to the fun, this year we have the treat of Belinda Jensen from KARE11 as our emcee."

Excelsior Apple Day will be Saturday, September 19th, and the Pie Eating Contest will be held on the Kowalski's Stage at the intersection of Water and 2nd Streets at 12 noon. There are two categories: adult and child. Winners will receive awards, and Zydeco Design will present cash donations in the winners' names to ICA Food Shelf.
