The 4th Annual Seafood & Music Festival Serves As The Ultimate Family Destination for Labor Day Weekend

Riverdale, GA (Pitchengine.com) August 11, 2014 - The highly anticipated 4th Annual Seafood & Music Festival returns to Metro Atlanta during Labor Day holiday weekend. Hosted by The City of Riverdale, theSeafood & Music Festival is one of the largest seafood and music festivals in the south attracting over 10,000 people across the region. This year's Seafood & Music Festival will take place at The City of Riverdale Town Center on Saturday, August 30, 2014, from 12:00pm - 10:00pm.


Focusing on the pillars of food, music and community, the Seafood & Music festival is emerging as the most cost - effective, family destination in Metro Atlanta during the Labor Day weekend; with live entertainment, great food and activities for the entire family. This year's festival will feature live music from acts Donna Allen (NBC's The Voice Season  5), Frank McComb and Miles Jaye, a live DJ tribute celebrating Michael Jackson's 56th  birthday featuring Frank Ski, flavorful mouth-watering seafood brought in from the coast, chef demonstrations, and a full-fledge fireworks display all with a ticket price of only $5.00. Children are welcomed and will have a family-friendly dedicated area. This year's community partner will be The City of Riverdale's 4th annual "Get Fit!" 5K run-walk benefiting a school supply bank in support of local public schools in the Metro Atlanta area. School supply donations and registration for the 5K run-walk on site will be accepted on-site at the festival.

[ABOUT RIVERDALE TOWN CENTER]

The City of Riverdale received a grant from the AtlantaRegional Commission through its Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) program to conduct a "Town Center" feasibility study. The study was initiated in 2006 and completed in 2007. The Riverdale Town Center opened in October 2010. It is located on a parcel, on Church Street, that spans over twenty seven acres. The project comprises the following components: Government civic component (Riverdale Centre for the Arts, Business & Leisure Services, a new City Hall, and a Public Plaza/Amphitheater), Mixed-Use Commercial Component, and Residential Housing Component.
