Shriners Hospitals for Children Open to Introduce the First Public Pools Ever Featured on the PGA TOUR

Partnerships with Hyde Bellagio and bring new pool experiences to fans

The 2014 edition of Shriners Hospitals for Children Open will have a new look and feel with several fan enhancements throughout the event, including the first public pools to ever be featured on the PGA TOUR in the Fan Experience.

“We wanted to really take a page from the energy in Las Vegas and elevate the fans’ experiences inside our tournament,” said Adam Sperling, tournament director. “There will be a total of six pools throughout the course to provide an entirely new opportunity to view the game of golf. It was only fitting that the Las Vegas tournament be the first to introduce this, and we’ll present many more exciting offerings throughout the event to keep our audience captivated and entertained.”

The Fan Experience will be located between the 17th and 18th holes at TPC Summerlin. It will include two swimming pools as well as a nine-hole putt putt course. The area will be free to the public and offer an amazing vantage point to catch all the action of the tournament play.

“We’re excited to bring this new and exciting experience to golf fans of all ages during the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. It fits perfectly into our third core value as a company of creating fun and a little weirdness and gives us the opportunity to work with such a great cause,” Daniel Earl, Sponsorship Coordinator at Zappos.

Hyde Bellagio will transform a portion of The Hill, the tournament’s hospitality venue overlooking the 16th, 17th and 18th holes, into the spot to see and be seen. With four private cabanas available for purchase, Hyde on The Hill will offer an extravagant daylife experience that continues long after the sun sets, complete with DJs, exclusive food and beverage menus featuring Hyde’s signature craft cocktails and VIP service provided by the nightclub’s dedicated servers. On the tournament’s final day, Hyde on The Hill will channel the energy and atmosphere of the XIV Vegas Sessions parties the nightclub is known for, decking out the area in neon décor and costumes and providing the hottest house beats.

“At Hyde Bellagio, we strive to create innovative VIP experiences delivered with the highest caliber of customer service,” said Mio Danilovic, Vice President of Nightlife Operations for sbe. “We’re honored to partner with Shriners Hospitals for Children Open this year to bring the energy of Hyde Bellagio to the golf course for tournament guests as we develop a completely unique daylife experience at Hyde on The Hill.”

Additional bonuses this year will include an Oktoberfest area developed by Twin Peaks near the front gates as well as Lee’s Discount Liquor Shank Shack at the 16th Green and a dedicated beer venue on the Par 3 17th green created by Born And Raised, appropriately named, No Par BAR.

The tournament returns to the Las Vegas valley for the 32nd consecutive year from October 13 – 19 at TPC Summerlin. Tickets are available now at Reservations for Hyde on The Hill can be made by emailing or by calling 702-693-8700.
