OhKuol Refines The Boho-Chic Look For Their Spring/Summer Jewelry Pieces

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, April 1, 2014 – Tune in to your modern gypsy and refine last year’s boho-look with OhKuol’s new spring/summer 2014 pieces. Focusing on free form and organic shapes, the sisterpreneur duo has added an elegant edge with gold foil settings, pointy pendants, and amethyst roses.

Style Like An Egyptian

An upside down pyramid symbolizes a striving for perfection – so say the Egyptians, and OhKuol have got close with their amethyst druzy necklace with gold foil edging ($45). The edging is about 1.3-2 microns thick and adheres itself to the shape of the stone, allowing for that organic look. With two jump rings either side of the pyramid it sits flat against the chest.

Rocking Roses

Roses often conjure up delicate features, but OhKuol has turned this concept on its head producing a rock rose bangle studded with a dramatic amethyst cluster ($49). The bangle itself is made of a base metal free of nickel and led, that’s been electro-gold plated. With the rose ranging in size from about a quarter to a dollar coin, this is definitely a statement piece ideally worn on its own.

Stone Spotlight

The four prong setting of OhKuol’s spring basic studs allow the stone to take the spotlight. Spring is a time for bright, warm colours so these studs come in shades of elegant citrine, deep green onyx, and brilliant blue. However, they think it’s the rose-gold plated rainbow moonstone studs ($59), which might speak to the modern gypsy queen.

Glowing Green Pendants

The delicate onyx pendant is hand-carved into a point, about the size of a cent coin. Made out of green onyx the OhKuol ladies love the rich emerald glow of the stone ($29). This necklace comes on either a 16 or 18-inch chain, although longer lengths can be custom made.

Whimsical Angel Wings

Angel iconography has existed since humans learnt to carve images onto the walls of caves. Know as the guardians of heaven, their wings have come to symbolize protection in a broader sense. OhKuol’s smoky grey druzy angel wing earrings are beautifully delicate, adding a touch of whimsy ($69).

OhKuol’s collection is available on their website, and in select boutiques across Canada and the USA.
