LOS ANGELES (July 23, 2014) – Actress COURTNEY JAMES CLARK (“The Lucky One”) is heading straight into dinosaur danger in Colin Trevorrow’s JURASSIC WORLD, set for release by Universal Pictures in June 2015.
Clark joins an all-star cast, including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Vincent D’Onofrio, for this highly-anticipated sequel produced by Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley. The script, penned by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, fast-forwards time, picking up 22 years after the events of the original sci-fi adventure, “Jurassic Park.”
Clark also just wrapped the role of a young reporter in the indie comedic-thriller MIND PUPPETS, starring Kevin Pollack and Pippa Black.
Previously, Clark hit theaters as Zac Efron’s sister in Warner Bros romantic-drama “The Lucky One,” based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks. Her screen credits also include “Dylan Dog: Dead of Night,” “Legendary” and “The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond.” On the small screen, Clark portrayed Hilary Duff’s uptight, corporate co-worker in the ABC Family movie, “Beauty and the Briefcase.” Trained at the famed Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, Clark has built a solid fan base for her live performances with the improv team Carol’s Poolhouse and the sketch team The Worst.
Originally from Mandeville, Louisiana (a suburb of New Orleans), Clark turned to the arts at an early age, participating in theatrical productions and performing/traveling with the Delta Festival Ballet Company. After earning a degree in Theatre Performance and a minor in Dance from Louisiana State University, she embarked on a professional theatre tour in China before making her way to Los Angeles.
