Rockford, Mich. (December 22, 2014) – Since 2013, Chaco has partnered with the American Camp Association (ACA) to enable young campers to explore the outdoors and reinforce the commitment to a lifetime of adventure. As part of its official sponsorship, Chaco made a $46,945 donation to ACA’s “Send a Child to Camp” scholarship fund for 2014–enough to send 94 underprivileged children to camp.
“Going to camp is a time-honored tradition and for many it’s the beginning of a lifetime of love and respect for the outdoors,” noted Chip Coe, Chaco general manager. “Chaco is proud to make this donation to an organization that is vital to the future of our youth and, in particular, to provide these deserving children with a camp experience they might not otherwise enjoy.”
