Breast Cancer research is a platform that is near and dear to Ebony Steele’s heart. As a survivor herself, it is important to her to honor those in the survivor sisterhood and the women currently battling the disease. Ebony’s newest platform, #STEELEStanding, launched October 1, 2014 and is a philanthropic campaign dedicated to supporting women who are battling and/or have survived Breast Cancer. For the entire month, Ebony will present STEELE Standing Awards to a special, hand-selected group of women. The award recognizes female survivors who have bravely shared their story to uplift and raise awareness in their communities.

“It’s so easy to talk about being faithful when everything is going well in your life, but your faith is truly tested when something like Breast Cancer happens to you,” said Ebony Steele. “My solace and my comfort was knowing that if you’re going to pray, don’t worry about it and if you’re going to worry, don’t pray. I made the choice not to worry and put it in the Lords hands.”

Ebony Steele’s ‘Breast Friends’ series also launched earlier this month and currently features a star-studded group of Ebony’s long-time friends and supporters.
