Florist-owned marketing firm purchases magazine, online assets, and conference for Canadian florists
Toronto, ON – January 14, 2014 – Strider Media is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Canadian Florist brand and assets from Annex Business Media. Effective January 14th, 2015, Strider Media will assume responsibility for publishing the bimonthly print magazine, as well as operation of the Canadian Florist Magazine, Inspired Design, and Canadian Florist Business Forum websites, and the popular Canadian Florist Business Forum.

Canadian Florist magazine is Canada’s only national trade publication for retail florists and designers, with bimonthly distribution to nearly 6,000 readers. First established around the start of the 20th century, Canadian Florist has served as the voice of the industry in Canada for over 110 years.
Strider Media was founded by Ryan Freeman, a 21 year online marketing veteran and fifth-generation florist with Martin’s, the Flower People in Toronto. Strider brands, including Florist 2.0 and FlowerChat, provide online marketing services, print and direct mail marketing, website development, and social media services.
