Martin City Brewing Company’s Trolley Trail Ale debuts exclusively at The Well, Lew’s Grill & Bar, and Charlie Hooper’s on June 21

The collaboration IPA is named for the Harry Wiggins Trolley Track Trail, which now connects the Brookside and Waldo neighborhoods

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 20, 2016) – A new India Pale Ale from Martin City Brewing Company will debut on tap exclusively at The Well, Lew’s Grill & Bar, and Charlie Hooper’s on Tuesday, June 21. The Trolley Trail Ale is a five percent session IPA with a glowing subtle orange color and citrus aroma. The beer has an immediate bitterness one would expect from a session IPA, followed by an easy transition to a slightly acidic bite from the blood oranges. The finish is a fresh citrus and orange taste.

The Trolley Trail Ale is named for the Harry Wiggins Trolley Track Trail, which runs on the former line of Kansas City’s last streetcar of yesteryear – the Country Club route – which ceased service in 1957. Today, the trail connects the Brookside and Waldo neighborhoods. Charlie Hooper’s is located in Brookside and The Well and Lew’s Grill & Bar are located in Waldo.

The Trolley Trail Ale joins an already expansive beer list at all three locations. Charlie Hooper’s boasts nearly 200 beers on draft and bottled. The Well serves more than 90 beer selections. And Lew’s Grill & Bar is home to 69 beers and is well known for its Das Boot!®, 84 ounces of draft beer in a giant glass boot to share with friends.
