BOULDER, Colo. – June 10, 2014 – Johnny Alamo Entertainment announced two new collaborations that represent a paradigm shift in sports marketing and audience engagement for brand, content and event alignment.
The first is a collaboration between Mindshare, one of the largest global marketing agencies, led by David Lang, and The Rise of Superman team comprised of New York Times best-selling author, Steven Kotler, award-winning filmmaker, Dirk Collins, and managing director, Johnny Alamo to develop a multi-media platform around “Flow” and ultimate human performance that includes television, film, digital, and live events. The other new collaboration is with the 2015 World Alpine Championships to secure authentic corporate partnerships for the skiing event and its NBC broadcast coverage happening Feb. 2– 15 in Vail and Beaver Creek, Colo.

The Rise team created a cult-like movement as people from athletes to executives to students clamored to learn how to hack into “Flow” and enrich their daily lives. It’s also the story of how two action sports filmmakers – Johnny Alamo and Dirk Collins – partnered with a New York Times best-selling author, Steven Kotler, to unlock the neuroscience of ultimate human performance as well as to decode and then “re-code” how book marketing is traditionally done. Instead of using traditional marketing and PR to launch The Rise of Superman book, the team produced a digital content series that was socialized through key influencers which created a passionate audience and pushed the book to number four on the New York Times Bestseller within four weeks of its debut. Now, they;re collaborating with Mindshare’s, David Lang to create a platform for multi-media programming with a television series and feature documentary film that will incorporate a handful of authentic brand partnerships. This all-star team just announced in Variety that they’re close to inking a TV deal to actualize their original vision.
Organizers of the 2015 World Alpine Championships recently contracted with Johnny Alamo Entertainment to expand their brand development and extend their strategic partnership sales. They’re leveraging Alamo’s extensive network of brands but perhaps more importantly his creative storytelling lens to form authentic brand alignments for this prestigious international event in Vail and Beaver Creek, Colo. that will host 70 countries, 800 athletes and an estimated 750 million global television viewers. 2015 WAC will be the third time the event has ever been held in the United States and aims to be a celebration well beyond ski racing with music, culinary and lifestyle programing Feb. 2-15, 2015.
