SEASON TWO PREMIERE AIRING ON APRIL 25, 2015
LOS ANGELES (March 2, 2015) – Veteran character actor SERGE HOUDE sits in judgment when he Guest Stars as Judge Roy Parker on the Season Two premiere of the Hallmark Channel series, WHEN CALLS THE HEART. The award-winning dramatic western series will kick-off with a special two-hour premiere on April 25th.
WHEN CALLS THE HEART tells the story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young school teacher from a wealthy Eastern family, who migrates from the big city to teach school in a small coal mining town in the west. The two-hour season opener “Trials of the Heart,” brings the pivotal arrival of Judge Roy Parker (Houde) to town in order to preside over Coal Valley's mine explosion trial and render his decision.
Houde is thrilled to be part of this popular period drama, adding "It's easy to understand why Hallmark fans love ‘When Calls the Heart’. It has a wonderful cast and crew…and awesome writing. All I can say about the storyline is that it's full of twists and turns with plenty of secrets and surprises. So much so, it'll make you wonder if Justice is blind and whether Justice will ever be served. One thing I can say though is it was an absolute pleasure working with series Director Neill Fearnley and getting to ride in an antique Ford!"
Houde has built a solid career in the industry with over 150 credits under his belt. Most recently, the veteran actor guest starred on AMC’s hit shows “The Killing” and “Hell on Wheels” and on the CW’s newest smash, “iZombie.” Houde also received a 2014 Leo Award nomination for ‘Best Guest Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series’ for his role on CTV’s “Played.” Houde has built a solid career in the industry with over 150 credits under his belt.
