Hollywood Hopefuls Hang-On in Season Three of Comedy Web Series “BECKY & BARRY: THE SERIES”

Atlanta, GA (January 7, 2015) – The miracles and misadventures of Hollywood hopefuls collide in an all-new Season Three of comedy web series, BECKY & BARRY: THE SERIES, premiering on Blip.TV on January 15th.

The mockumentary-style series chronicles the life of eternally optimistic actors, Becky (Brooke Jaye Taylor) & Barry (Matthew Cornwell), as they stumble forward on the path to stardom. Despite a series of hilarious setbacks, nothing can dissuade the determined couple from their dreams of making it big in Hollywood.

As creators, producers and stars of the series, Taylor and Cornwell hope to turn some of their real-life experiences into lessons for other actors just starting out in the business. Cornwell explains, “We wanted to educate actors about the do’s and don’ts of auditioning, while simultaneously entertaining everyone regardless of their connection to the industry.”

To help tell their stories, Taylor and Cornwell brought in some of their local, Atlanta-based peers and industry insiders. They engaged Jay D Zimmerman to direct and co-write the series, who lent his vision for storytelling and ear for smart dialog to the project. Season Three also continues the shows trend of special guests, including appearances by Mark Fincannon (North Carolina-based Casting Director), Ryan Glorioso (New Orleans-based Casting Director), RonReaco Lee (star of the hit Starz show “Survivor's Remorse”), Tanya Boniface (Brittish pop star and member of the girl band The 411) and Brian Beegle (Atlanta-based Casting Director at Stilwell Casting).

This real-life husband and wife team have each individually built a solid acting reputation in the industry. Most notably, Taylor appeared in the feature films “Iron Man 3,” “Million Dollar Arm,” “Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas” and “Parental Guidance”; and on television in “Rectify,” “Reckless,” “Army Wives” and “Drop Dead Diva” among others. On stage, Taylor earned the Harvey Award for ‘Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role’ for her portrayal of Catherine in “Proof” at the Ocala Civic Theater.

Cornwell has also worked on some heavy-hitting projects, including the feature films “We’re The Millers,” “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” “The Change-Up” and the upcoming comedy “Vacation” starring Ed Helms (with Taylor playing his on-screen wife). His television credits include “Satisfaction,” “Resurrection,” “Under the Dome,” “Homeland,” “Nashville” and many more. Cornwell won both Judges and Audience Awards for 2004 Good Morning America Scary Movie Contest; and won the Atlanta Film Festival’s Rapid i Movement Contest in 2007 and 2008.
