May 11 - Photo exhibition - "Le territoire à l'infini - d'Arabies et d'ailleurs" / 'Borderless Territory' by Olivier Escarguel
French photographer Olivier Escarguel, presents his new works at Alliance Française Dubai. Professional photographer for the past 10 years, Olivier Escarguel has travelled extensively thanks to his first job as a journalist and writer. In this show, through his wanderings in the 'Arabic World', Olivier brings back shots from the UAE, Oman and Yemen in which we can feel his poetic approach.
Not a newcomer to the UAE, Olivier Escarguel took part to in the Al Sourat photo festival 2014 in Abu Dhabi. This is his first solo show in Dubai.

May 12 - Conference by Francois-Marie Bréon - Climate change causes and consequences
What are the causes of climate change and what can we expect for the future ? What can be done to soften the consequences ?
Francois-Marion Bréon took part to the redaction of the last report draft by the IPCC on climate change.

Concert with the French-Irish Baritone Edwin Crossley –Mercer

M Premiere in collaboration with The Dubai Concert Committee and with the support of the Alliance Française Dubai brings you the long awaited night of Opera 'It's all about love'. From Berlin to Moscow, Paris to New York; famous love songs in German, Russian, French and English languages.

In the young generation of French singers, Edwin Crossley-Mercer is an outstanding baritone discovery. In 2007, he was an HSBC foundation award winner at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and won the 1st prize as best singer at the Lili and Nadia Boulanger International Voice Competition, Paris. Edwin Crossley-Mercer gives a larger-than-life performance every time he is on the stage thanks to the spring in his step, his enthusiastic vigor and his vocal perfection. His flawless technique with rich timbre, powerful vocal projection and confirmed stage presence leaves a long-lasting impression in the audience.

Semjon Skigin - a world-renowned pianist, Professor of role study, winner of numerous competitions and festivals and an artistic director of the Theatre Barge Music Festival in Dresden will accompany on the piano.
