November 5, 2014 (Chico, Calif.)—Klean Kanteen is excited to launch its new website and the #BringYourOwn project, a thought-provoking campaign comprised of a series of short films that encourage consumers to pause and consider their daily use of disposable products.
“With more and more cities banning disposables, and more focused attention on BPA, there’s incredible momentum and renewed awareness around single-use. As a B-Corp, we want to inspire conversation around a different way, around what’s possible: simple, healthy solutions that truly benefit our communities and families – it really matters to us to leave that legacy,” says Erika Bruhn, Director of Marketing and Brand at Klean Kanteen. “#BringYourOwn embodies everything we stand for as a brand and our hope is that this campaign gets people thinking, and talking, about the impact of single-use,” added Jim Osgood, CEO and President of the company.
The #BringYourOwn project is a series of short films that capture real life scenarios where ordinary people are confronted with uncommon decisions pertaining to single-use products. In an age when Americans use over 58 billion paper cups annually, these films underscore social and cultural issues that contribute to the ubiquity of single-use products in daily life. Consumers who want to join the conversation about single-use are urged to participate by tagging social media posts about single-use with #BringYourOwn.
The new Klean Kanteen website also highlights the #BringYourOwn theme with a new blog featuring inspiring and informative content about the reusable lifestyle. To see the other #BringYourOwn films and learn more about the campaign, please visit this link.
