Set limits: Sprint Cup: 5 sets for practice/qualifying and 9 sets for the race

 

Tire Codes: Left-side -- D-4558; Right-side -- D-4630

 

Tire Circumference: Left-side -- 87.60 in. (2,225 mm); Right-side -- 88.39 in. (2,245 mm)

 

Minimum Recommended Inflation: Left Front -- 26 psi; Left Rear – 26 psi;

     Right Front -- 57 psi; Right Rear -- 54 psi

 

Notes: While teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series will run the same right-side tire code (D-4630) at Michigan this weekend, they will run distinct left-side codes . . . in Sprint Cup, teams have run this left-side code (D-4558) at Michigan since 2013 . . . this is the first time they have run this right-side code at Michigan, though they have run it earlier this season at Las Vegas, Talladega and Kansas . . . compared to what was run at Michigan last year, this right-side features a minor increase in tread gage (thickness) . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one  mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire  positions at Michigan . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25  psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Tire Circumference: Left-side -- 87.32 in. (2,218 mm); Right-side -- 88.31 in. (2,243 mm)

 

Minimum Recommended Inflation: Left Front -- 15 psi; Left Rear – 13 psi;

     Right Front -- 31 psi; Right Rear -- 28 psi

 

Notes: This weekend’s race at Gateway is the first time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams have run either of these two tire codes . . . compared to what was run at Gateway last season, this left-side tire code (D-4632) features a compound change for more grip, while this right-side tire code (D-4644) features Goodyear’s multi-zone tread technology . . . the multi-zone tire combines two distinct compounds on the same tire -- one for endurance and heat resistance on the inboard two inches of the tread, and one for grip on the outboard 10 inches . . . most recently, this tire set-up was run by Sprint Cup and Xfinity teams at Richmond earlier this season . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams will run inner liners in all four tire positions at Gateway . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
