Nick Nanton, Esq., along with business partner, JW Dicks, Esq., recently signed a publishing deal with Erika and the other authors to contribute their expertise to the book, which will be released under their CelebrityPressTM imprint. Erika will contribute a chapter titled, “Healthy Habits Create Your Healthy Life.”
The guidance you can get from the PremierExperts® in this book will take you through various body makeovers under a variety of conditions. However, regardless of your present condition, these authors can invariably show you how to accomplish your desired objective. They are experts by virtue of having ‘been there and done that.’
Regardless of the shape you’re in, this book will answer some most important questions, focusing on three categories that influence a Rapid Body Makeover: mindset, nutrition and exercise. The book is expected to be published in the summer of 2014.
About Erika L. Binger:
Erika has always been involved to some capacity with athletics and health. Growing up on a ranch provided a foundation in these areas, as she was often found working with the animals or in the garden, climbing hills, riding and spending time outdoors with her siblings. Growing up with fresh produce and meat was taken for granted and considered normal, but in hindsight she now feels incredibly blessed and sees how rare it was. She believes, having grown up with these elements, contributed to the health she and her family have today.
Erika began her involvement in formalized sports during her middle school years. During her freshman year of college she competed on her college basketball team then decided to hang up her basketball shoes and donned a swimsuit instead. The swim coach encouraged her to try the swim team even though she had never swam competitively before because he had noticed her dedication and commitment outside of basketball practice. Binger went on to swim competitively for the remainder of her collegiate career and credits her swim coach with instilling one of the basic fundamentals she brings to her clients today – treat everyone fairly regardless of their experience and skill.
Upon graduation Binger volunteered as a boy’s basketball coach at a Boys and Girls Club, during which time she also rode her bike the length of the Mississippi River to raise funds for the programming. She was offered the Athletic Director’s job and developed and implemented a stellar female sports program – where prior to her involvement, there was none. At the same time, she grew the already high caliber males programming, and received several awards for her work. Simultaneously, she earned her Masters’ Degree in Organizational Leadership and began to get her legs wet in triathlon. She competed nationally and internationally with numerous podium finishes. After finishing an Ironman, she decided to focus on aquathlons, since she finished everything she had set out to accomplish in the sport and didn’t enjoy competitive biking much.
Erika founded the V3 Youth Triathlon Team, introducing and working with inner-city youth, to the sport of triathlon. Binger captured the attention of the athletes with the novelty and variety of the sport, with the larger goal to “graduate” top-notch individuals as well as athletes through the educational, goal-setting, nutritional, career and personal development aspects of the program. Several athletes on the team have podium finishes, the team won top honors at the national championships and every athlete that has completed the program is enrolled in college.
Binger enjoys adventures and the outdoors and has summited several 10,000+ peaks, including Kilimanjaro and Grand Teton. She desires to instill in others the love she has for movement, outdoors and health. Another way she achieves this is through the Health & Wellness Ministry at her church, Impact Living Christian Center. Along with her Pastor (Jessica Jackson) they recognized the disconnect between spiritual and physical health. They created the program to educate around health and wellness, have several projects in the works for national exposure and also host an annual 5K to raise funds for college scholarships. She is currently pursuing another masters’ degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology.
