The Miami-Dade County Dental Society is launching Give Kids a Smile Day on Saturday, February 7, 2015, from 9am-1pm at the Dental Health Center in Miami, Florida. The yearly event sponsored by the American Dental Society, will provide free dental screenings, prophylaxis cleanings and flouride rinses for children ages 6-12 who are accompanied by a parent. The event is being lead by Dr. John Nelson, President of the Miami-Dade County Dental Society, and his practice Midtown Dental Miami.
"We encourage parents with little ones to bring their children to this event and take advantage of the free screening and cleanings. Good Dental health is paramount. There's nothing more beautiful than a child with a healthy set of teeth and a beautiful smile," he said.
Dr. Nelson stressed that no invasive dental treatment will be performed on children at the event. All children must be present with a parent.

What: Free dental screenings, prophylaxis cleanings, and flouride rinse will be provided for children from the ages of 6-12. Parents will be notified about any conditions and referred to the appropriate care if further treatment is necessary.
