Blue Federal Credit Union Commemorates 65th Anniversary with Annual Member Appreciation BBQ

Blue Federal Credit Union will be celebrating its 65th anniversary at the annual Cheyenne Member Appreciation BBQ on Thursday, June 16, 2016.  The BBQ will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the North Shelter in Lions Park.  All Blue Federal Credit Union members are invited to attend.

Blue Federal Credit Union, formerly Warren Federal Credit Union, is proud to have served the communities of Wyoming and Northern Colorado for 65 years.  The Credit Union was established in 1951 by civilian personnel on F.E. Warren Air Force in Cheyenne, to later include all military and dependents of the armed forces.  They have since grown to serve the communities of Laramie, Wellington, and Fort Collins, as well as over 900 Select Employee Groups.

This has been a special year for the Credit Union; Warren merged with Community Financial Credit Union in Broomfield, CO to become Blue Federal Credit Union, and now serves even more communities in Northern Colorado.

“Every year we look forward to our Member Appreciation BBQs because we get to spend the day visiting and reminiscing with our member/owners,” said Michele Bolkovatz, Community Relations Manager at Blue Federal Credit Union. “At this year’s event, we will be celebrating our 65th Anniversary.  The essence of our success in reaching this honorable milestone is because of each and every one of our member/owners that continue to be part of and support Blue FCU.”

Similar to previous years, the annual Member Appreciation BBQ will have a bounce house, lawn games, and other family entertainment.  Burgers, hot dogs, and other refreshments will also be served.
