GOLDEN VALLEY, MINN. – Calvary Pre-Kindergarten, located at 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minn., is now enrolling students for the 2015-2016 school year. The school currently has openings in its 3- and 4-year-old classrooms; schedule and registration information is available at calvary.org/pre-k or by calling 763.545.5933.
Orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 5:30 p.m., with classes beginning the week of Sept. 14.
Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association (ELEA), Calvary Pre-Kindergarten prepares children for life tomorrow by honoring where they are today. Based on National Accreditation and Minnesota Early Learning Standards, the school’s curriculum focuses on the development of the whole child—physical, social-emotional, cognitive and spiritual.
“When it comes to pre-Kindergarten, many tend to believe they don’t have a choice in ensuring the very best possible start for their children,” says Becky Robinson, Calvary Pre-Kindergarten director. “The option that families have through Calvary Pre-Kindergarten not only meets and exceeds academic standards, but also utilizes a ‘values-added’ approach that emphasizes respect, responsibility and problem-solving—qualities critical to success in Kindergarten and beyond.”
Calvary Pre-Kindergarten celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014 and is one of three early childhood centers (Calvary Pre-Kindergarten, Calvary Childcare Center and Calvary Hourly Childcare) affiliated with Calvary Lutheran Church. Established in 1946, Calvary offers six weekly worship services and a wide variety of programs for children, youth and adults, all under its mission to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
