Actress Carshenah W. Jefferson stirs up trouble in season finale of "Boomerang Kids" airing on Official Comedy

LOS ANGELES (March 31, 2014) – Rising actress CARSHENAH W. JEFFERSON doesn't say much, but her expressive silence after a single question causes trouble when she appears on the season finale of Official Comedy's all new hit series “Boomerang Kids,” airing on Official Comedy.com.   Also due out later this summer, Carshenah sits in the communications chair as Lt. Uhura in "Red Shirt Diaries," spoofing the all time original t.v classic "Star Trek" in another comedy series to add to her list of credits.

Carshenah was seen most recently in a Microsoft Window's Phone print campaign for the Nokia 1020, 928, and 920 respectively and keeps looking to do more campaigns with a technology or video game edge.  As an avid gamer herself, Carshenah thrives with the tech, comic-book, and video game genre.  She's been seen as the face of "Logitech" in their web cam print campaign, locally seen in an animated "Wells Fargo" banking commercial and gave women inspiration in a "Kellogg's Special K" Gains campaign.  Other television shows to her list of credits included Showtime's hit comedy-drama "Shameless," FOX’s action-drama “24,” and a comedy spoof, "The Walking Dead Christmas Special," based on the number one hit series drama AMC's "The Walking Dead" playing the key look-a-like character Michonne.

A Jacksonville, FL native,  Carshenah has always wanted to be a performer lending her comedic timing and improvisational skills to every project she signs on with. Before graduating a year early from Florida State University with a double B.A in Theatre and The Classics Studies, along with a double minor in Computer Science and Italian Studies, she went on to study abroad in the city of Florence, Italy where she received additional training in Commedia Del' Arte with the rest of her Italian Studies.  Upon returning back to the states, Carshenah went on immediately to get her M.F.A at the University of Florida and was whisked away on the day of her graduation to the bright lights of New York City where she landed her first modeling job with The Mattel Company, modeling as a Barbie doll in their "One Modern Circle, " campaign as the Barbie doll Simone.  Soon after that contract ended, Carshenah landed her first major acting job on and off Broadway with only a single audition with the touring company, Theatre Works U.S.A in the historical Brown vs. Board of Education drama, "The Color of Justice" in the same year.

Today, Carshenah is making her move with physical comedy using her dance and athletic skills to carve out another niche.  She appears in a Chaplin-esque silent short film project called, "Mickey & the Fly, " using Capoeira, parkour and dance performance in this film. And don't dismiss her own directed projects in the horror genre.  Carshenah starred in a short horror web-series based on a short story she wrote. This is the genre that Carshenah thinks is underserved in the African-American community and wants to bring it to the forefront in a new way.
