•    Community First Foundation’s Backpack Buddies with support from Cocktails & Canapes, Save On Foods Park & Tilford, Urban Fare Yaletown and funds raised by students from Collingwood School, will be serving lunch and giving away backpacks of food for vulnerable children affected by the teacher’s strike.

•    200 children are expected to be in attendance.

•    A study conducted in March of 2013 indicated that 94,000 use food bank services in B.C. of which 29.5% were children.
