The effort is part of the “My Brother’s Keeper Community Challenge” launched by President Barack Obama in September 2014. The initiative aims to provide opportunities for these young men who often are disproportionately unemployed, incarcerated or drop out of school. The cradle-to-college-and-career strategy organizes, leverages resources and develops specific programs to help them.
