Coastal Federal Credit Union has announced that it is constructing a new branch at 1060 Timber Drive East in Garner. Site work has already begun on the new 4,000 square foot building. The new branch will open next spring and will replace the storefront location at White Oak Shopping Center, which opened in 2004.
“Over the past decade, White Oak has become one of our busiest branches, particularly after we introduced 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven-day-a-week teller service,” said Chuck Purvis, Coastal’s president and CEO. “We’ve outgrown the storefront location, and we’re looking forward to giving our loyal members a building they can be proud of there.”
One major upgrade as a result of the move will be the inclusion of drive-up personal teller machines, providing members with an added level of convenience.
The building will have an appearance similar to Coastal’s Raleigh locations on Creedmoor Road and Glenwood Avenue. It will feature an arched roof, large windows and exposed wooded beams, along with a brick exterior that is consistent with the rest of the shopping center.
