BABETTE MAXWELL, FOUNDER OF MILITARY SPOUSE MAGAZINE, NAMED AMONG FOLIO’S 2014 TOP WOMEN IN MEDIA
Pittsburgh, PA (September 3, 2014) Victory Media, Inc. announced today that Babette Maxwell, Founder and Executive Editor, of Military Spouse magazine has been named one of Folio's 2014 Top Women in Media, in the Entrepreneur category.
The award program, in its debut year, showcases Folio's annual list of the most influential women in media—“the ones driving the agenda for the industry and in their companies—women who are innovating in new ways and guiding their businesses into new markets. This list celebrates the creativity and accomplishments of our female colleagues, sometimes against the glass ceiling, other times against the grain,” says the official award press release.
"To be a part of all that women have accomplished in the field of magazine publishing is a tremendous honor. To be a part of recognizing our nation’s military spouse and family community is a privilege. Folio 2014 Top Women in Media Awards is a program that blends all that women in this category have to offer," says Babette Maxwell, Founder and Executive Editor of the nation’s only magazine for military spouses.
Other categories included: corporate visionaries, rising stars, mentors and industry leadership: http://www.foliomag.com/2014/folio-announces-inaugural-list-top-women-media#.VAXEkF4inFI
Maxwell is a leading subject matter expert and advocate for our nation’s 1.1 million military spouses and founded the publication shortly after the events of September 11th.
The awards ceremony honoring the lineup of winners will be held October 1, 2014, at the Grand Hyatt in New York, NY.
