Online degree programs at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, a pioneer in distance education for over 35 years, rank as some of the best in the nation by U.S News & World Report.
The university soared 36 spots ahead of last year’s ranking for the best online graduate business programs, and garnered a top-15 ranking for its online graduate criminal justice program, a first-time list by U.S. News & World Report. UW-Platteville’s online graduate education program and online bachelor’s programs also grabbed top rankings.
“This recognition is an incredible endorsement of the quality of our programs, faculty, and student services staff,” said Dawn Drake, executive director of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Alternative Delivery Systems. “Our students are able to achieve their career goals because of the quality education received here.”
In its fourth year of collecting data from distance education programs, U.S. News has assessed over 1,200 online degree programs, an increase of more than 20 percent from the 2014 list. Several factors are evaluated, including graduation rates, faculty credentials, and support services available remotely.
“As student demand for quality online education continues to grow, our staff’s dedication to excellence ensures we are among those universities leading the way,” said Drake.
