Local Elementary School Students Raise Thousands to Fight Cancer

(Gillette, Wyo.) As we shared earlier, yesterday Prairie Wind held "Relay Recess," a Relay for Life event at school for elementary aged children. Firefighters from Local 5058 and CCFD volunteers also came out to help support the kids as they raised money for the American Cancer Society.
PTO President Sabrina Rossi reports that the event ended up raising $5032 to fight cancer. Prairie Wind Principal Rory Williams was so impressed with everyone's hard work that he let them duct tape him to the wall, much to the kids' amusement:
