Meet “Mr. Lucky”- Celebrity Chef Dale Talde’s Latest Winning Concoction


LOS ANGELES, CA (June 11, 2014) – The Dynasty Project (TDP), a non-profit organization focused on enriching the local Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) communities through athletic programs, and celebrity Chef Dale Talde hosted a one-of-a kind “Casino Night” benefit on Tuesday, June 10th, at New York City’s popular Arena Nightclub. TDP brought all the excitement of a high-rolling casino to their first ever annual Casino Night benefit! The night was filled with classic table games, an exquisite highlight of Brooklyn’s popular restaurant-Talde, a scrumptious dessert bar, and an elaborate open bar hosted by HiteJinro.

HiteJinro, and avid supporter of non-profit organizations, was excited to be partnered again with TDP to help increase the awareness of this organizations’ mission and to raise funds to continue their on-going projects. The highlight of the night was Chef Dale Talde’s introduction of his own exclusive, signature Jinro Soju cocktail- Mr. Lucky. The 300 guests that attended Casino Night were the first to try this Soju cocktail infused with green tea and Calamansi, also known as Calamandarin. Designed to add more excitement to the night’s ambiance and to fit the flavors of Talde’s cuisine, Mr. Lucky was a hit with the Pretzel, Pork and Chive Dumpling. The salty, fatty and crunchy flavors of the dumpling was perfectly matched by the green tea’s natural ability to cut oil, the acidity of the Calamansi, and the sweet, refreshing finish from Jinro Soju. “I wanted to create something that was like an Arnold Palmer. I wanted a well balanced cocktail that will keep people wanting more and to make them happy so they can have fun and donate more,” chuckled Chef Dale Talde.

This signature cocktail did not fall short of its name. All attendees throughout this night were merrily sipping “Mr. Lucky” as they tried their hands at Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat and Pai Gow.
