The 30th Annual Sugar Bush Golf Classic to benefit Hattie Larlham is Wed., May 18. More than 250 people will tee up to support children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The 30th Annual Sugar Bush Golf Classic begins at 7:45 a.m. at the Sugar Bush Golf Club in Garrettsville.
The Sugar Bush Golf Classic began in 1986. The event has raised more than $750,000 to benefit Hattie Larlham. These funds have supported renovations at the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities and programs such as the Pediatric Ventilator Program and Hattie’s Creative Arts.
The shotgun style tournament features sold out morning and afternoon sessions. Golfers will enjoy lunch and dinner awards ceremonies following play. The event features a grand prize raffle for $1,500 sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2436.
Middlefield Banking Company returns as the event’s presenting sponsor. The company has supported the Sugar Bush Golf Classic for 15 years. The Sugar Bush Golf Club is donated by the Koval family each year. The Golf Classic to benefit Hattie Larlham is the Kovals’ longest running charitable event.
