Three No-Nonsense Wedding Planning Tips

Check the Date
From May through September, Glenwood Springs hotels book quickly due to events including the annual Strawberry Days celebration in June. For the best selection of room availability, check with hotels early in the planning process. Also keep in mind that your guests don’t all have to stay at the same place. With over 36 properties and more than 1,700 rooms available, Glenwood Springs has room for all your wedding party guests.

Do First Things First
Put together a wedding planning schedule and do things in a logical order. Here are some pointers:

  • Confirm your date before you hire vendors
  • Choose flowers before ordering your cake
  • Reserve your space before you hire a band

Make it Legal
Amid the excitement of selecting the dress and choosing the floral arrangements, obtaining a marriage license is a detail that can easily slip through the cracks. In Glenwood Springs you’ll need to apply for your license about a month before your wedding; it’s only authorized for 30 days, so you can’t do this too early, but you don’t want to leave it until the last minute either. Check with the Garfield County Clerk for all the requirements.
