Brewster Applebee’s “Calling” For Sports Fans and Collectors

BREWSTER, NY –Celebrity photos, sports items, and local memorabilia are among dozens of items that customers can bid on at the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Brewster, NY. Now through Sunday, September 29 at 8 p.m., as the restaurant prepares for its upcoming remodel, items that currently adorn the restaurant’s walls will be up for auction. All proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley.

“Since we began remodeling our restaurants, we’ve had hundreds of patrons come in and purchase memorabilia that pay homage to their favorite stars and local teams,” said Stephanie Griffin, director of marketing and public relations, T.L. Cannon Companies. “We want to give customers in the Brewster market an opportunity to join the fun and take advantage of some unique shopping, all while benefitting a deserving organization.”

All bids must be made through the Applebee’s restaurant manager on-duty by 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, and items must be paid for in cash. Customers can pick up purchased items during business hours starting Monday, September 30 until Wednesday, October 3.

“The Applebee’s décor auction will help make life better for children in Brewster and the surrounding community,” said Thomas Conklin, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley. “Funds raised through the auction will help grant wishes to children facing life-threatening medical conditions. We are deeply grateful to Applebee’s and their customers for their support and generosity.”

The silent auction will take place at the Applebee’s restaurant located at 115 Independent Way, Brewster, NY 10509. For more information, please call (845) 279-4165.

The restaurant will be closed on Monday, October 7 and Tuesday, October 8 while the final touches are added to the new look, re-opening at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9. Once complete, the restaurant interior will include customized wall murals that reflect the neighborhood including local schools, sports teams and community organizations. The refreshed restaurant will also feature state-of-the-art flat screen televisions and updated wall coverings and decor. The exterior will feature new awnings, lighting and updated signage.
