Herschbach, who was a joint winner for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1986, is also known for a special cameo as himself in "The Simpsons." And Glauber, who was a joint winner for the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2005, is among the last surviving members of the "Manhattan Project," which produced the world's first atomic bomb.
