Oct. 1, 2014 - The Wyoming Lottery Corporation today reported that two players won a total of $3,000 in the Mega Millions® drawing on Tuesday, Sept. 30. Retailers in Evansville and Laramie sold the winning tickets, with $2500 being the largest amount won.
EVANSVILLE: The largest amount won in the Sept. 30 drawing was $2,500. The winner bought their ticket at Mini Mart, located at 59 S. Curtis in Evansville, on Sept. 29. The winner purchased their Mega Millions ticket with the multiplier option. Their total wager was $2 and resulted in a larger payout. Instead of winning $500 the player won $2,500. The Megaplier was 5x- increasing the total winnings to $2,500 ($500 multiplied by 5). Since the Wyoming Lottery’s inception on Aug. 24, this is the third time that a player increased their winnings to $2,500 by purchasing the Megaplier.
LARAMIE: Big D Oil (Sinclair Station), located at 1561 Snowy Range Road in Laramie, sold a $500 winning ticket on Sept. 29.
The jackpot for Mega Millions is now up to $120 million. Mega Millions tickets cost $1 for each play, plus $1 for the Megaplier. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 9 p.m. Ticket sales close at 8 p.m. Winning numbers can be found at wyolotto.com or by calling toll free 1-855-995-6886 (855-WY-LOTTO).
