BRIEF: Digital agency Everywhere is excited to announce that Jason Maldonado, recent social media strategist at The Home Depot, has accepted the position and started as Director of Digital Strategy.
As Director of Digital Strategy, Jason’s responsibilities will include brand strategy for Everywhere’s clients, which include Macy’s, Cox Communication, Promethean, and Novelis. Additionally, he will work closely with the agency’s founder and President Danica Kombol on client procurement and agency direction. Over the past year, Everywhere has had many successes including its social local event marketing for Macy’s, increasing awareness of the sustainability efforts by Novelis, and the rapid growth of its blogging community Everywhere Society. Everywhere will leverage Jason’s experience to continue helping clients connect with consumers and give them the competitive edge in the digital marketing space.
ABOUT JASON: After receiving his Master of Arts in Communication Research from Ball State University in 2008, Jason worked with professors at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism on communication research. He was recruited by Edelman Chicago and worked across many sectors: CPG, travel and leisure, technology, apparel, and food and dining, to name a few. Client work included content and campaign strategies, community management training, social listening reporting, and helping brands build internal polices and governance through social business planning.
In 2012, The Home Depot recruited him, and he established a social media listening framework for the company and its vendors. Additionally, his responsibilities included campaign strategy, internal social business planning, multicultural outreach, and social-local strategy planning. He represented the brand at multiple conferences and received internal awards for his work.
