Donated funds will be used to support medical care for ill and injured pets
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (July 28, 2016) – Yesterday, representatives from 39Rainbow and LANE4 Property Group presented local non-profit organization KC Pet Project with more than $4,800 as a result of its National Pet Adoption Month campaign in June. The donated funds will be used for the medical care for ill and injured pets at KC Pet Project’s shelters. KC Pet Project aims to end the killing of healthy and treatable pets in Kansas City, Missouri, by using innovative, lifesaving programs and promoting successful animal control policies.
39Rainbow’s campaign included a donation from a portion of its restaurant sales between June 1 – 30 to the local organization, and acted as a drop-off site for animal-related donations throughout the month. 39Rainbow restaurants include Subway, IHOP, Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Topp’d Pizza + Salads. The donations were gathered in the first floor lobby of the Holiday Inn Express and yielded several cases of canned pet food for dogs, cats and kittens, as well as new and used collars.
39Rainbow will conclude its Summer of Giving campaign on July 31, following a partnership with Reach Out and Read Kansas City. Since April, 39Rainbow has donated nearly $15,500 to local non-profit organizations in the community, recognizing jazz in Kansas City, first responders and veterans suffering with Post-Traumatic Stress, pets in need and the importance of children’s literacy.
