Survivors of suicide loss: you're not alone
On Tuesday evenings every week, the Survivor of Suicide Loss Support Group meets at the Riverton Library. Join a community of survivors and build strength with each other through each other's stories, healing, and hope.
"My primary goal is to help those who find themselves dealing with the loss of someone close to them by suicide," group coordinator Janet Nyberg said. "I don't try to direct the group, but rather let them lead the group with the issues that are currently impacting them. The ultimate goal would be for the survivors to facilitate the group themselves. The group provides materials for reading, online support sites and actions the survivors can take to recover from their loss."
Currently, the group is planning on meeting every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Riverton Library. Contact Janet at 851-7188 or Michelle Widmayer at 349-0439 for additional details.
